This species is distinguished by the protibiae posterior faces inflated, granulate; antennal club wider than long; pronotum lateral margin oblique; pronotum anterior margin without serrations; posterolateral carina acute, denticulate; strial furrows and interstrial ridges anteriorly extending to basal 1/4 of elytral disc; and interstriae densely setose with long hair-like setae and bristles.
