<paragraph id="7F5D7F30831AD768B2A2937D45DED78B" pageNumber="38">Worker. Length 4 lines. Head, antennae, thorax, and legs rufo-ferru-ginous; the head very large, much wider than the abdomen, emarginate behind, and rounding at the sides to the tips of the mandibles; the latter triangular, stout, and longitudinally striated, their inner margin dentate. The thorax compressed behind. Abdomen shining, black, with the margins of the segments ciliated with pale hairs; the scale of the petiole oblong-ovate. Hab. Celebes (Tondano).</paragraph>
