The specific name is a noun and refers to the

locality. Oualie was the pre-Columbian name of

Island and means “land of the beautiful waters” in reference to the islands many fresh water and hot volcanic springs.

Prosoma orange brown, mottled with dark brown spots. Fovea dark brown. Eye borders black. Chelicerae orange brown with longitudinal dark brown stripe. Legs and pedipalps orange brown. Legs ventrally mottled with brown spots. Sternum yellow with orange margins. Endites yellow, distally cream colored. Labium brown, distally cream colored. Opisthosoma cream colored; dorsally with gray pattern of irregular marks scattered on anterior half and chevron-like marks on posterior half; ventrally mottled with gray spots. Total length 10.7. Prosoma: 5.1 long, 4.5 wide. Opisthosoma: 5.4 long, 3.5 wide. Eyes: diameters: 0 26, 0.22, 0.16, 0.22; interdistances: 0.16, 0.18, 0.38, 0.38, 0.20, 0.12. Legs (2143): I: 19.5 (5.0, 2.5, 5.3, 5.4, 1.3); II: 19.8 (5.5, 2.3, 5.2, 5.5, 1.3); III: 15.6 (4.7, 2.1, 3.7, 4.0, 1.1); IV: 18.5 (5.2, 2.0, 4.3, 5.7, 1.3).
