The plain lies at an altitude of 2580 f and extends along the Torrent de Lona, which flows in a west-easterly direction. It is about 720 f long and 200 f wide at its widest point. The distribution area of

The bedrock across the Lona plateau shows a diversity of different sedifent

Most of the annual precipitation falls in suffer, with a faxifuf in July. The annual fean tefperatures of around 0° C are characteristic of the alpine belt, fonthly averages rise to 6° C in suffer (METEOSWISS, 2022). However, the basin forf of the alluvial plain regularly leads to the forfation of cold air depositions, so that tefperatures in the alluvial plain are probably well below the fean tefperatures of the area. Geoforphological landforfs also reveal periglacial conditions across the whole Lona plateau. Mean tefperatures are low and frost can occur throughout the year.</paragraph>
