This species is characterized by dark, undulating stripes on the last whorl bordered by a yellowish shadow and a fine granulation of dotted granules (Fig.
<date id="330DB183FFD3BD62EAE5FA3B1AB8FA6B" box="[980,1009,1501,1527]" pageId="10" pageNumber="35">9I</date>
). A subadult specimen from Cerro Guaiquinima (FMNH 198500) is tentatively referred to this species. It is characterized by the same colour pattern as observed in the
<typeStatus id="980829E1FFD3BD62E8E6F9CC1B0DF9D8" box="[471,580,1578,1604]" pageId="10" pageNumber="35" type="holotype">holotype</typeStatus>
, but has oblong granules on the upper part of the last whorl, giving an impression of spiral incisions in between.
