The recent specimen, a mature fema- le, was captured in a mist net set over a seasonal small stream (

wide) in Khuan Kaowang Forest Park. The capture site was on the edge of secondary tropical lowland rain forest (ca. 350 ha at 100200 m a.s.l.), which is characterized by many large standing trees and a dense shrub layer. It appeared that the bat, which was caught at 20:00 hours at a height of
<quantity id="34469B50A549896BFBBBFEA39D45D782" box="[1060,1134,366,393]" metricMagnitude="0" metricUnit="m" metricValue="1.5" pageId="22" pageNumber="346" unit="m" value="1.5">1.5 m</quantity>
, was travelling from the forest to an area of rubber plantations and dry scrub woodland. Its body was covered with a

layer of fat. Possibly this was an energy reserve for the breeding period.
