Early whorls smooth or with spiral threads, later whorls smooth, with tubercles or tuberculate axial ribs. Aperture with broad parietal and columellar thickening; anterior canal short, wide; outer lip flaring adjacent to suture of penultimate whorl; posterior canal shallow.</paragraph>
