is not a species hitherto noted from coastal habitats, and indeed there are a number of specimen records in the Maritime Provinces from inland, non-marine situations (unpublished data). Like many species in this genus they are frequently encountered near streams or in other aquatic situations (

). As the above records indicate, in the Maritime Provinces they are occasionally found in coastal marshy and/or sand dune environments.
