Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-flagellated and rod shaped. Colonies are filamentous, undulate, rough, raised and pale yellow colored after 3 days on MA at 30°C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis,

-galactosidase and gelatinase in API 20NE, but negative for arginine dihydrolase, glucose fermentation, indole production, nitrate reduction and urease. Utilize
