specimens from Nosy-Bé). Small-sized alpheid shrimp. Body not particularly elongate, moderately slender. Carapace glabrous, not setose. Rostrum well developed, laterally compressed, horizontal, triangular in dorsal view, longer than broad; lateral margin slightly concave from rostral base to about mid-length, with some short setae; tip acute, not reaching distal margin of first segment of antennular peduncle; rostral carina faint, not reaching base of rostrum (
