Eyes convex, protruding; separated from front margin of prothorax by ca. 1.2 X length of eye. Rostrum. Apical declivity distinct, with sunk-in scales. Dorsum medially with subglabrous furrow. Antenna. Scape curved; in cross-section subrotund; with appressed scales and curved, suberect bristles. Funicle with second article 1.1 X as long as article 1. Pronotum ca. as long as wide. Thorax. Metanepisternum narrow, subglabrous. Elytra with 12 striae; behind middle intervals 47 forming conspicuous lateral protrusion, crest with fringe of dense long scales. Legs. Protibia ventrally simple, not denticulate. Venter. Procoxae medially subcontiguous; distance to apex 0.5 X distance to base of prothorax. Mesoventral process subquadrate, 0.85 X as long as wide. Abdomen. Female ventrites 35 exposed, laterally shorter than ventrites 12. Genitalia. Penis with apodeme firmly attached to body; transfer apparatus elongate, spiniform.
