Recent records indicate that

is continuing its expansion to eastward. The northernmost record to date is from Magdeburg, Germany, in 2013. In 2018, it was first recorded in Asia Minor at Urla,

). Recent records from Crimea are obviously in line with a general trend of this

dispersal northward and eastward with commercial ornamental plants. However, we have no proof that
<taxonomicName id="0712C9367F3D3B9D7177A58ED1B12ED3" lsidName="P. lethierryi" pageId="1" pageNumber="90" rank="species" species="lethierryi">P. lethierryi</taxonomicName>
has established a viable population in Crimea. Thus, it may be preliminarily characterized as a &quot;Robinson Crusoe species&quot;, that is, one that was accidentally introduced without further naturalization. A remarkable feature of adventive populations of
<taxonomicName id="5BE6FD305E1477E1DFAFA190B0E5FB93" lsidName="P. lethierryi" pageId="1" pageNumber="90" rank="species" species="lethierryi">P. lethierryi</taxonomicName>
, along with some invasive
<taxonomicName id="0A4F9806D4191C2089C635DD264359D7" class="Insecta" family="Curculionidae" genus="Otiorhynchus" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Otiorhynchus" order="Coleoptera" pageId="1" pageNumber="90" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="genus">Otiorhynchus</taxonomicName>
species, is that no specimens are known from natural habitats.
