Prothallus not seen. Thallus white to whitish-grey, endolithic. Perithecia 0.2-0.35 mm, 3/4-1-immersed, leaving deep pits in the rock. Involucrellum covering half of the exciple, ca. 100 mm thick, appressed to the exciple. Exciple ca. 0.35-0.45 mm in diam., wall black. Periphysoids ca. 40-50
