B). The sample occurs on two branches of the coral, up to

long. The thickness of the sponge is about

Distribution and remarks. This is a new record for
<collectingCountry id="F3092FEA8A21F879FCB7C2FAFC4CC5D9" box="[792,901,221,245]" name="Indonesia" pageId="14" pageNumber="15">Indonesia</collectingCountry>
and the second record of the species since its original description from Hawaii. Our specimen fits with the original description of de

who reported this species as a paper-thin incrustation with strongyles of 210 240
<date id="FFA049BA8A21F879FBA7C304FBE2C416" box="[1032,1067,290,314]" pageId="14" pageNumber="15">x 3</date>
µm and chelae 16 µm long. The species is the only
<taxonomicName id="4C1E14F98A21F879FEC4C362FDDDC471" box="[363,532,325,349]" class="Demospongiae" family="Chondropsidae" genus="Strongylacidon" kingdom="Animalia" order="Poecilosclerida" pageId="14" pageNumber="15" phylum="Porifera" rank="genus">

</taxonomicName>
from the Indo-Pacific area, characterised by arcuate chelae (not unguiferate), by the lack of sigmas and by a single category of strongyles.
