This group is defined by the following combination of characters: head and pronotal microsculpture reticulate; antennomere 7 clearly larger than 8; male protibia strongly widened apically; male protarsomeres only bearing phanerae ventrally; mesoventritesl longitudinal carina excavated anteriorly; median lobe of aedeagus elongate, strongly curved dorsoventrally; parameres strongly narrow, not reaching apex of median lobe, each bearing two apical setae.
