Petals coherent into a calyptra or free [exotic species in region]. Stamens usually numerous, conspicuous, filaments free. Ovary 2-locular, placentation axile, ovules few to many per locule, style simple. Fruit a fleshy or dry berry. Seeds globular.</paragraph>
