This species was observed and photographed on a sandstone outcrop approximately 1 km northeast of MDRS on September 20, 2015 (Fig. 25), however this plant was not collected due to time and equipment constraints. Common on sandy plateaus and

dominated scrub near MDRS, this species is a noxious weed found throughout the southwestern United States (

). This species was previously reported for the nearby San Rafael Swell (
