is unique in having the metanotum and tergite I normal and tergite II with a pronounced medioposterior convexity (

). The male is recognized by having 10 marginal metanotal setae in conjunction with the number of setae on tergites I and VIIVIII and sternites III and VII. Although described from only a female/male pair, the female tergal development clearly defines the species. The male is tenuously separated on the basis of quantitative abdominal chaetotaxy.
