Mannerheim is known from the Sierra Madre Occidental of western Mexico and from several specimens labeled from San Diego County, California (Leng 1902: 181; Pearson et al. 2006: 136). However, there is serious doubt about the origin of the California specimens and the species is not included here as a North American entity.
