<taxonomicName id="1FDB7F8B9D02D63968B55D9A69C796DB" class="Bivalvia" family="Limidae" genus="Limatula" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Limatula saturna" order="Limida" pageId="0" pageNumber="13" phylum="Mollusca" rank="species" species="saturna">Limatula saturna</taxonomicName>
has been documented from Alaska to northern Mexico from 20-675 m (
<bibRefCitation id="1616D5AED90435F33E8AFDF8D6EDC915" pageId="0" pageNumber="13">Coan and Valentich-Scott 2012</bibRefCitation>
).The Colombian specimens represent the first record for South America. Very recently (i.e., March 2018), this species has been observed in the region of Lambayeque, Peru (Valentich-Scott, pers. obs.).
