<paragraph id="8BD79006FFDAFFD5FD4FFC76F4D7BEEB" blockId="97.[714,1248,935,1666]" pageId="97" pageNumber="294">Le rostre est droit et court (il sétend, suivant les spécimens, jusquaux 3/4 ou aux 4/5 du premier article du pédoncule antennulaire); haut à sa base, il samincit régulièrement et fortement sur toute sa longueur: sa hauteur, à sa base, est environ 3,5 fois supérieure à celle de son extrémité; son bord ventral est pratiquement droit. Le bord dorsal de la carapace, rostre inclus, décrit une courbe régulière de plus en plus convexe au fur et à mesure que les spécimens grandissent. Il porte six ou sept dents de taille légèrement décroissante, sans compter celles de lextrémité du rostre. Les trois premières sont en arrière de lorbite, la quatrième est soit légèrement en arrière de lorbite, soit légèrement en avant. Deux ou trois dents postrostrales sont en arrière de lépine hépatique. La première dent postrostrale se situe aux 4/10 environ de lespace séparant le bord postérieur de la carapace du niveau du fond de lorbite; la seconde aux 6/10 environ et la troisième aux 8/10. Lespace séparant les troisième et quatrième dents est compris entre les 6/10 et les 8/10 de celui séparant les deuxième et troisième, tandis que les espaces séparant les autres dents sont voisins de la moitié de lespace séparant les troisième et quatrième. Lextrémité du rostre est bidentée, avec une dent dorsale et une ventrale, toutes deux petites et parfois séparées par une petite convexité. La carapace porte une fine épine hépatique. Son lobe infra-orbitaire est arrondi.</paragraph>

), dirigée vers lavant. Le second segment présente une dent plus petite, aiguë comme la première, presque droite ou fortement recourbée, et également dirigée vers lavant. Le bord postéroventral du pleuron du cinquième segment abdominal est inerme; sa partie postérieure est très légèrement concave. Les bords postérieurs de tous les pleurons sont fortement angulaires. Le sixième segment porte une forte dent dorsale distale, postérieure; son bord ventral se raccorde au bord postérieur suivant un angle droit, souvent étiré en courte dent. Les sculptures sont assez peu marquées et de grandes plages entièrement lisses existent; on observe les carènes longitudinales habituelles, mais peu marquées, dans la zone de séparation entre tergites et pleurons, à lexception du quatrième segment qui en est dépourvu; les parties postérieures des segments présentent quelques rares nodosités, floues et mal définies; certains sillons par contre sont profondément marqués: sur le premier segment un sillon postérieur couvre la totalité du tergite et du pleuron, le sillon antérieur ne sétend que sur la partie tout à fait supérieure du pleuron; les segments 2-5 ont un sillon postéromédian bien développé; la carène dorsale des segments 3-6 est particulièrement bien marquée. La longueur du sixième segment (mesurée du condyle darticulation à la pointe du lobe latéral postérieur médian) est, chez les adultes, de 1,5 à 1,7 fois plus grande que celle du cinquième (mesurée entre les condyles darticulation). Le telson se termine par une forte pointe encadrée par une paire dassez grosses dents fixes, subdistales. Les bords ventraux portent, chacun, trois petites épines mobiles qui semblent souvent absentes chez les plus grands spécimens. Quelques très petites épines mobiles sobservent de part et dautre des bords séparant la face dorsale des faces latérales du telson; elles sont très irrégulièrement implantées et en nombre variable (de quatre à une dizaine par rangée).

) a des lobes dorsolatéraux présentant un processus distal externe en forme de corne assez massive et relativement courte, recourbée dabord antérieurement puis, sur sa partie distale, antérodorsalement; le processus distal interne est en forme de lobule ovale, parfois un peu étiré en pointe dans sa partie antéroexterne, atteignant presque, antérieurement, le niveau du processus distal externe. Les lobes ventrolatéraux présentent un processus distal externe très fortement bilobulé: la partie antérieure est en forme dauvent arrondi et la partie postérieure, séparée de la partie antérieure par une large concavité, en forme de pointe mousse, plus courte que la partie antérieure. Souvent la carapace présente une ligne rouge foncé qui sétend, en diagonale, depuis le tiers ou la moitié du bord postérieur de la carapace jusquau cinquième environ du bord ventral; en arrière de cette ligne, la carapace est blanche. Une autre ligne rouge, souvent moins visible et beaucoup plus courte, sobserve sur la partie antérieure des régions ptérygostomienne et antennaire. En avant de la ligne rouge postérieure, la carapace est le plus souvent rougeâtre avec la région rostrale blanchâtre, mais on observe des variations pouvant aller jusquà une carapace largement blanche ou au contraire largement rouge. Les segments abdominaux 1-5 sont le plus souvent rouges au niveau des tergites et blancs au niveau des pleurons, le telson et les uropodes sont blancs mais parsemés de quelques taches rouges; on observe toutefois dimportantes variations de couleurs au niveau des segments thoraciques 1-5: chez certains spécimens, ils sont presque entièrement rouges, tandis que chez dautres, le blanc domine nettement. La partie antérieure du premier segment abdominal, qui coulisse sous la carapace, porte dorsalement une large tache jaune qui sétend sur la partie antérieure de lépine dorsale de ce segment. Chez de nombreux spécimens, des taches jaunes sobservent également sur la moitié dorsale du corps.
