The species is characterized by its medium yellowish to reddish brown head with black fastigium verticis, fastigium frontis and black base of antennae; the three yellow ocelli are very conspicuous (

). The venation of tegmen is as typical for the genus. The male ninth abdominal tergite is at rounded angle between dorsal and apical surface provided with a pair of distinct styliform projections with obtuse tip. At ventro-apical margin, but somewhat moved proximad and partly hidden from behind, on both sides provided with a black, little curved, acute tooth (

A–B). The female subgenital plate is similar to that of other species of the genus but without the pair of oval swellings in apical area, and the styliform process from base of plate is dorso-ventrally compressed and appears wider than in females of other species groups in the genus (
