This species typically occurs under bark of dead conifers (
<bibRefCitation pageId="7" pageNumber="14">Newton et al. 2000</bibRefCitation>
), the same habitat from which most New Brunswick specimens were collected. Adults were collected from under bark of large fallen spruce and under bark on the underside of a large red pine log. Two adults were captured in Lindgren funnel traps in an old-growth red pine forest. Adults were collected during May, June, July, and August.
