Small species with strongly fusiform shell, tall, sharply stepped spire, shoulder with weak peripheral keel high on whorl, at or above midpoint between successive sutures. Protoconch conical, with 3 rounded whorls. Spiral sculpture of numerous cords, threads, adjacent cords along periphery producing incised furrow. Axial sculpture of strong, rounded ribs extending from suture to siphonal canal, most prominent along shoulder, forming nodules at intersection with peripheral keel on early whorls, more rounded on later whorls. Anterior carina with strong spiral cord. Aperture weakly angular along outer lip, rounded along parietal region and columella. Siphonal canal comparatively short (<½ shell length) stout, tapering distally.
