The genus

</taxonomicName>
was erected by Maldonado (1987) to include three new species. This species is readily distinguished from the other two by its uniformly black coloration (Maldonado 1987). The antennae in the
<typeStatus id="54A288029E4D7462F98D28EDD374DDDF" box="[740,842,1153,1179]" pageId="27" pageNumber="28" type="holotype">holotype</typeStatus>
were missing. Therefore, coloration and measurements (in mm) of the antenna and some details of the abdomen are given here for the well­preserved specimen from Antioquia. The antennae are light brown, the first segment is darkened on its basal and apical portion; the second segment is darkened on its apical portion, weakly on its base. Measurements of antennal segments, I: 5; II: 1.73; III: 4.8; IV: 1.6. The abdominal sternites V to VII, and the genital segments, are yellowish with a few whitish setae, which are more abundant medially than laterally on each segment, particularly on sternite VII. The connexivum is black dorsally on segments II to IV, V is black anteriorly but with a latero posterior yellowish spot.
