Yang is widely distributed in South China. Its types were collected from Guangxi Province. Specimens from the mainland and Hainan Island have similar body features and were mated to produce fertile offspring in our own breeding facilities, but they clearly differ by body color and

characteristics in the forewings. Therefore, we consider specimens from Hainan Island as a new subspecies for
