Description. – Shell dextral, spindle-shaped in outline, with an open, slit-like umbilicus. The 7.9-8.1 whorls are convex with a rather deep suture. Teleoconch with irregular, dense, rather pronounced, oblique striae crossed by irregular, indistinct, incised spiral striae producing a granulated sculpture. Shell fairly solid, not translucent, dull, hornbrown coloured, with a whitish band behind the peristome. Peristome reflected, thickened by a labial callus, the columellar and palatal insertion connected by a thin callus, which is thickened near its ends. The thickening of the parietal callus at the palatal insertion of the peristome resembles
