The longitudinal vein apparently consists mostly of the submarginal vein, but because the vein extends to the wing margin apically and the costal cell does not, the apical-most portion likely consists of a remnant of the marginal/ stigmal/postmarginal veins. This region of the venation is also slightly sinuate rather than straight, supporting it as other than just the submarginal vein.
