. Reference to the

(broken transversely into an anterior and posterior half) reveals some errors. The whole animal is shown in Cranes fig. 1 and with reference to the haptor this is a ventral view. However, the common genital opening is shown on the right margin of the body. In the text the common genital opening is said to be located on the left body margin, as in other entobdellines, and our observations on the
<typeStatus id="0F418844FF94FF831483FE3CFE2BB786" box="[395,497,466,492]" pageId="21" pageNumber="22" type="holotype">holotype</typeStatus>
confirm that this is the correct location of the common genital opening in
<taxonomicName id="17FA4D65FF94FF83108BFE3CFF24B479" authorityName="Crane" authorityYear="1972" class="Actinopterygii" family="Embiotocidae" genus="Zalembius" kingdom="Animalia" order="Perciformes" pageId="21" pageNumber="22" phylum="Chordata" rank="species" species="rosaceus">

</taxonomicName>
. In Cranes fig. 2, the uterus is incorrectly labelled “vagina” and the ootype is mislabelled as “uterus”. The vagina is not illustrated and we were unable to find it in the
<typeStatus id="0F418844FF94FF831106FDCCFBA2B456" box="[1038,1144,546,572]" pageId="21" pageNumber="22" type="holotype">holotype</typeStatus>
. Seminal receptacles are hard to resolve but at least 2 and possibly 4 are present. Glands of Goto and eyes are present.
