Mottling in posterior area of head; short robust setae present on dorsal surface; prominent single, very long robust setae between ocelli and eye, also on frons near scape. Antennae longer than body; long fine setae present on dorsal area of segment margins; segments darkening anteriorly.

Pronotum mottled; quadrate, width greater than length. Meso- and meta-nota with pale raised bosses at base of wingpads, highest point of bosses with dense patch of robust setae. Pale colouration around bosses may extend anteriorly and give a pale triangular appearance. All thoracic segments with surface covered in robust setae. Single paired very long robust setae present on pronotum (3 pairs) near the anterior margin, medial area and posterior margin; also a pair on hind margin of meso- and meta-nota.

Dark patterning on femora, stripe near outer margin on outer surface and broad bands in proximal and distal areas; inner surface with short broad stripes. Tibiae with thin dark band in proximal area, area above band darkened; stripe near outer margin.

Cerci as long as abdomen; elongated at segment 7 and becoming very long and thin; long robust setae present until approx. segment 10. Cercal segments darkening posteriorly. Paraprocts long and thin, length approx. as long as basal width.
