Kieffer, collected from Mount Makling, Luzon, in the Philippines, could not be found after an extensive search of collections known to house Kieffer type material. The neotype of
<taxonomicName class="Insecta" genus="Camptoteleia" higherTaxonomySource="GBIF" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Camptoteleia cupularis" order="Hymenoptera" pageId="95" pageNumber="96" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="species" species="cupularis">Camptoteleia cupularis</taxonomicName>
is presently designated to clarify the taxonomic status of the species. It was selected because of its collection locality and because it agrees with
