: Chorion soft. Egg distinctly marked on all surfaces by concave, elongate, hexagonal cells with moderately broad, elevated walls arranged in longitudinal rows (Figs 548, 549 &amp; 522), cells on anterior pole with relatively more elevated, finely reticulated walls (Fig. 551). Aeropyles elevated, domed, openings very small, present only on and around anterior pole (Fig. 554). Rosette cells in micropylar area recessed, elevated adjacent to micropylar openings (Fig. 551). Chorion smooth with fine filamentous webbing (Fig. 553), ridged on anterior pole (Fig. 554).
