The female adult is hard to separate from worldwide congeners since most females lack detailed description, but the widely separated eyes, plus some short setae arising from S VIII distinguish from other Eastern Palaearctic species. Immature stages can be separated tentatively from others following the diagnosis, however, there is no guarantee of reliability when more larvae and pupae are reported since these species show much similarity.
