comprises species having a unique gland located in the conical pit of the cymbium. The 11 species occurring in Iran and the one from Turkmenistan have the same conical pit and are thus placed in this genus; however, the male palpal tibia and particularly the bulbs are different from those of the species occurring in the Maghreb and surrounding countries. Further revisions are needed to clarify the taxonomy and composition of this group, which are beyond the scope of this paper.
