Length 3 lines.-Black: the mandibles, antennas, thorax, legs, and first node of the petiole, blood-red, the mandibles palest, and the scape and apex of the flagellum above, more or less fuscous. The head longitudinally striated, the prothorax with very coarse striae diverging on each side from the centre; the mesothorax longitudinally striated, the metathorax coarsely rugose, with the oblique apical portion transversely striated; the first node coarsely rugose, the second and the abdomen smooth and shining.</paragraph>
