we have examined so far. This last character, important at the generic level, is difficult to observe and generally inadequately described in the papers published before

. In order to resolve the inconsistencies and to re­assess the position of the taxon

, we re­examined the

material of

, deposited in the Geneva Museum. This material consists of (

The abd. IV­V chaetotaxy of the specimens on slide (

) is similar to that of the original description, with dorso­external S­chaeta of abd.V isolated on a separate tubercle; but these specimens exhibit additional S­chaetae on the lateral tubercles of abd I­Ill (none given in the original description), and

S­chaetae on the dorso­lateral tubercles of th.II­III (

on the two specimens of the series (

and the best preserved specimen. In spite of the bad condition of this material, it was possible to observe the main morphological features in use in the modern taxonomy of

Size difficult to evaluate, between 1.5 and 2.5 mm. Body flattened, wide, the sixth abdominal tergite clearly bilobed. Abd.VI not hidden by abd.V. No (or very slight) lateral migration of
