DIAGNOSIS. This species belongs to the

species-group and those members with the pronotum rounded between the dorsal and lateral surfaces. The female differs from other species of the same group by the ventral portion of the mesosoma being dull, finely reticulate-rugulose (shiny, coarsely reticulate-rugose in other species). The male is similar to the eastern Palaearctic species

Metasomal T1 impunctate; T2T3 indistinctly and very finely punctate; T1T3 red, sometimes T4 red basally; pygidial plate 0.7 times as wide as metabasitarsus.

Mesoscutum and mesoscutellum densely punctate, punctures separated by less than a puncture diameter to contiguous. Metasomal T1 impunctate; T2T3 indistinctly and very finely punctate; T1T3 red; gonocoxite dorsally with impression.</paragraph>
