This species was described from four females and one male from Hawaii, Kilauea (Volcano), also one female from Kauai and three females from Molokai. Of these nine specimens, only five (on four slides) remain in the Natural History Museum, London. The

The small male is paler and appears to be teneral, but it was probably never “yellow”; it has one antenna attached and one detached, and this has segment III 50 microns long. Despite the many specimens of
