Regarding the black band at the apex of the elytra, it is possible to see specimens with and without a notch and having or not having black band. It is interesting to point out that these variations are not related to geographical distribution. Thus, it is possible to find specimens with eburneous callosities notched or not and with or without a black apical elytral band through all the geographical distribution of the species.</paragraph>
