Abdomen yellow, tergites 1–5 each with a pair of black quadrate lateral spots; male tergite 6 (female 6–7) with a pair of brown spots on posterior margin.

Frons with a brown median stripe through an otherwise broad dark yellow area, extending to ocellar triangle, and black short setulae on anterior 2/3, nearly 1.8 times longer than wide and parallelsided; ocellar triangle grayish black; anterior fronto-orbital setae reclinate, shorter than the posterior. Facial keel distinct on upper part between antennal bases, a pair of indistinct brown triangular spots under the base of each antenna; gena about 1/3 height of eye, with wide brown stripe. Antenna yellowish brown, 1st flagellomere rounded apically, nearly 1.2 times longer than high; arista black, pubescent. Orbito-antennal spot distinct, present as a large pale brown triangular spot between eye and antenna. Proboscis mostly yellow except pale brown tip, with yellow and blackish setulae; palpus yellow with black setulae.
