Several of the male specimens, including those from the type locality, were found to have prominent protuberances extending from the tip of coxae I and II near the sternum. Following further examination, some females were found to have similar, but reduced, bulges. No other morphological differences were found between those with and without coxal points and as the distributions overlap we currently consider them conspecific.
