Dextral; cylindrical with conical early whorls; with 5–6 whorls separated by a deep suture; protoconch smooth; teleoconch with slightly oblique ribs (50–76 on the penultimate whorl; fewer ribs on the last whorl); with spiral striae between the ribs; whitish; subtranslucent; last whorl rounded, without a distinct constriction; aperture trapezoidal, angular at the transition from columellar to basal side; upper insertion of the peristome ascending towards aperture; insertions of the peristome connected by a distinct callus; peristome expanded, thickened, doubled; aperture with a prominent columellar lamella; some with a low parietal lamella laterally right to dorsolaterally right; with a short spiral palatal fold in the middle of the whorl ventrolaterally left inside the last whorl and with a long radial palatal fold ventrally close to the suture; umbilicus very narrow.
