Additional sightings near and south of

City (Decan Refuge) and in coastal areas have been reported in September and October. Given the frequency and dates of these observations, the species is probably a common passage migrant or possibly a breeding migrant in
<collectingCountry id="F3659980F53B1E06FCA4F8C3EF97AFD5" box="[828,923,481,505]" name="Djibouti" pageId="2" pageNumber="43">Djibouti</collectingCountry>
. Gambaga Flycatcher may have been overlooked in the past due to similarity with Spotted Flycatcher.
