is recognised by the following combination of characters: body robust, elongate-ovoid; dorsum covered with semi-erect to decumbent white hair-like setae; pronotal surface rugopunctate; eyes stylate, glabrous; first antennal segment in male 0.18x, in female 0.2x and second antennal segment in male 0.8x, in female 0.75x head width; ocular index in male 2.27, in female 3.37; scutellum tumid and strongly punctate; cuneus reddish; male left paramere larger than right, distally hook-shaped, with apex truncate; right paramere spoon-like.

) COLOURATION. Dorsum dark brown to dark reddish-brown, with yellow highlighting. Head posterior margin of vertex with transverse stramineous band; clypeus stramineous, with darker brown highlighting laterally; mandibular and maxillary plates dark brown; eyes red. First and second antennal segments stramineous; 3rd and 4th segments missing. Pronotum mostly brownish with yellow highlighting, darker brown punctuation; collar stramineous; callosite region and anterolateral angles of pronotum brownish. Scutellum mostly dark brown, medially with stramineous highlighting, apex uniformly stramineous; mesoscutum dark brown. Propleuron mostly dark brown, with ventral margin stramineous; mesepimeron mostly stramineous; evaporative area stramineous, remainder of metepisternum dark brown, with medial yellow callus.
