Etymology: From Latin
<emphasis box="[454,529,1415,1440]" italics="true" pageId="9" pageNumber="456">copros</emphasis>
(dung) and
<emphasis box="[665,734,1414,1440]" italics="true" pageId="9" pageNumber="456">colere</emphasis>
(to dwell in). The species name was suggested by Dr R.F. Lawrence (
<emphasis box="[558,620,1446,1472]" italics="true" pageId="9" pageNumber="456">in litt</emphasis>
.), who marked the
<typeStatus box="[844,892,1447,1473]" pageId="9" pageNumber="456">type</typeStatus>
specimens as being a new species but did not publish its description.

Diagnosis: The species is recognized by the combination of long, slender, blunt abdominal setae and the epigyne having a shallow hood over a small round opening (
