Relatively large sized species. Body elongate, black; head and pronotum with slightly brassy sheen; elytra slightly paler, dark reddish-brown, with points of brownish tomentose pubescence on middle of lateral sides; maxillary and labial palpi dark brunneous; antennae with basal three segments black; segment 4 and outer segments of antennae distinctly paler and tending to be gray (note: these paler segments of both holotype and paratype seem to be attached with some white powder-like substances which are hard to remove, and it is unknown whether they are naturally from the specimens or man-made); legs black, with tibia and tarsus covered with dense brownish pubescence; pubescence of dorsal surface of head, pronotum and elytra dark brown, combined with some yellowish-brown pubescence especially on lateral sides of head; pubescence on abdominal tergites black, also combined with some yellowish-brown pubescence.

Y-shaped epicranial line almost totally disappeared on holotype and only basal part of that vaguely present on paratype. Antennae relatively long, segment 3 distinctly longer than segment 2 (ratio 1.42), segments 4 to 9 distinctly longer than wide, gradually becoming shorter, segment 10 about as long as wide, last segment about as wide as segment 10. Pronotum longer than wide (ratio 1.12), shield-like, almost evenly narrowed toward posterior margin, with widely rounded posterior angles; anterior half slightly wider; narrow marginal groove disappearing downwards at posterior fourth of pronotal length; impunctate midline only clearly present on posterior half; punctation and pubescence on disc about same as that on dorsal surface of head, interspace without microsculpture. Scutellum finely punctate and setose on entire surface, totally black. Elytra moderately long, elytral length distinctly shorter (ratio 0.58) along suture but longer (ratio 1.20) along sides than pronotum along midline, slightly dilated posteriad; elytral punctation fine and dense, granulose, slightly shining; pubescence dark reddish-brown, with patches of dark brownish tomentose pubescence on middle of lateral sides.
