Species of the genus are of moderate size with the head being as wide or slightly wider than the mesonotum and shorter than the pronotum, subcylindrical body with the abdomen being longer than the head and thorax length, the abdominal sternites are convex, the absence of opercula, highly developed and sclerotized auditory capsule, no timbal covers, and hyaline wings without infuscation (
