Apterous, bicoloured, head and abdomen dark brown, but thorax, legs, pelta and antennal segments IIIV mainly yellow; head longer than wide, projecting in front of eyes, stylets retracted to eyes and about one third of head width apart; eyes with one ommatidium displaced to posterior on ventral surface; maxillary palp segment I twice as long as wide, II about 1.5 times as long as I. Pronotal am setae small, acute, remaining 4 pairs longer and weakly capitate, notopleural sutures complete or almost complete. Metanotum without sculpture. Pelta broad with large median lobe; tergites IIIVI with median transverse row of about 20 small setae, wing-retaining setae minute; tergite IX setae shorter than tube, tube shorter than head.
