Micropterous, body bicoloured with head, thorax and legs yellow in contrast to dark brown abdomen; head much longer than wide, maxillary stylets widely spaced, V-shaped, retracted to mid-dorsal setae, postocellar setae stout and broadly blunt, postocular setae long and finely blunt; pronotum with 2 pairs of large epimeral setae (

); metanotum with no sculpture medially; pelta broadly triangular; tergites IIIVI with wingretaining setae very long and straight, discal area with transverse row of about 20 small setae; tergite IX setae about 0.8 as long as tube.
