Frons finely rugose-punctate; with short, moderately abundant, decumbent setae, not obscuring integument. Antennal tubercles and area between them with sculpture and pubescence as on frons. Vertex rugosepunctate from area between upper eye lobes to near prothorax (sculpture distinctly coarser than on frons); area closer to prothoracic margin, finely, densely, transversely striate; with short, moderately abundant, decumbent setae, distinctly not obscuring integument, interspersed with some long setae. Area behind eyes coarsely rugosepunctate close to eye (this area wider toward ventral side), finely striate-punctate close to prothorax; with short, sparse, decumbent setae interspersed with long setae on rugose-punctate area, glabrous on striate-punctate area. Longitudinal sulcus distinct from clypeus to about middle of vertex. Submentum coarsely, transversely striate, interspersed with fine punctures; with short, sparse setae interspersed with long setae. Area between lower eye lobes and submentum and on genae coarsely, confluently punctate; with short, moderately sparse setae interspersed with long setae (apex of genae distinctly finer, sparser punctate and glabrous). Distance between upper eye lobes 0.65 times length of scape; distance between lower eye lobes in frontal view 0.75 times length of scape. Antennae 2.0 times elytral length, from scape to apex of antennomere X (missing antennomere XI at left antenna, and antennomeres XXI at right antenna), reaching elytral apex about middle of antennomere VIII; antennomeres III VI tumid; antennomere VII curved; scape, pedicel and antennomeres IIIIV with long, erect, sparse setae (mainly ventrally); antennomeres VX with long setae at apex; antennal formula (ratio) based on antennomere III: scape = 0.59; pedicel = 0.13; IV = 0.63; V = 0.76; VI = 0.86; VII = 0.92; VIII = 0.82; IX = 0.77; X = 0.67.
